Hard Chrome Plating Services
Hard chrome plating is applied to improve wear, reduce friction, prevent seizing, abrasion resistance and to restore the dimensions of undersized parts.
Materials that can be chrome plated include brass, copper, cast iron, most steels and stainless steels.
We can plate inner diameters, outer diameters, faces and flat surfaces. If a part requires plating only a specific area, we can do it by masking and exposing only the area that needs chrome plating.
Chrome Plating:
• Plating lengths 54" diameter 30"
• Flash chrome or heavy deposit to 0.050" thick
• In-house polishing
• Oven for baking to prevent hydrogen embrittlement
• Chrome testing equipment to 0.0001
Designed for harsh environments, high temperatures and high pressure, our industrial hard chrome has an RHC of 72.
Repair Services
Eagle Grinding and Plating has the proper experience to repair many parts that have worn out including gears, shafts, spindles, pistons, cylinders and many other machine parts.
We can do the repair by pre-grinding the worn area, then chrome plating and re-grinding to the original size, or any size that you require. All of these services are done in-house which results in faster delivery. Reverse engineering is often a daily part of this, as our customers sometimes only have the part that needs fixing or a description of it.
